The Maryland Dairy Goat Association will again this year publish a
program that will be created once for the entire show season. It will
feature mostly advertising but will also include some articles about the
MDGA and our own member goat dairies. As it is an MDGA
program, the articles will be based on the club and its members,
but advertising is open to anyone (with some caveats).
Get your herdname and information out to visitors at our shows
and at fairs and solicit your local suppliers to
place ads in the program.

of the entire 2013 program. It's a large file, give it time to load!
NEW - MDGA Awards Programs
New for 2013, the Maryland Dairy Goat Association
is giving special recognition to our members' goats
who have made significant achievement
in production and/or Linear Appraisal.
See the MDGA Awards Programs page for more information.
New Show Rules for 2014
The June Doe and Youth Shows are no longer accepting same day entries (although day of show substitutions will still be allowed). There will be a significant discount for early entries. Entries received 6/14 - 6/21 will be double the early rate. More details will be coming as our 2014 show season gets closer.
Judges Stipend Program
The Maryland Dairy Goat Association voted at its annual meeting to offer one annual $500 stipend to either a first-time prospective ADGA judge or a current apprentice judge who resides within a five hour driving distance of West Friendship, MD. In return, if the selected individual becomes a licensed judge, he or she agrees to judge two MDGA shows within the following two calendar years and waive his or her judging fee. Transportation costs for the shows will be covered by MDGA. Applications for this stipend must be received by January 31. All candidates will be notified on or before March 15 as to whether or not they have been selected to receive the stipend for that year. The stipend will be awarded as a check made payable to the recipient after a training conference receipt is received by MDGA indicating the candidate has attended and completed the course.
Applications will be sent via email attachment and are available from Pat Adels, Maryland DGA secretary, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Or Application can be downloaded here.
Applications must be completed, signed and mailed to:
